Ok, so you’ve put some ice cube trays in the freezer. You are impatiently waiting for the water to freeze!

You can:

A: Put your finger in an ice cube well to see if it’s solid yet or not (the inside may not be frozen).

B: Check incessantly.

C: Come back tomorrow

D: Look at the color of your color changing ice trays. Dark Blue means it’s frozen and pink is room temperature. Mood ring ice-cube trays!

I want to know what you think about. Whats a small idea you had today?

Ok, so by now most people have experienced the dread of losing their phone. Or maybe they dropped it and it broke. Great. 

Most people have all of their contacts in there without anything backed up. With an iPhone and auto backup to iCloud this isn’t really an issue. But many people still do not have an iPhone or simply don’t enable iCloud syncing.

I see too many facebook or twitter status updates, “Lost phone, need yo digets.” Without their phone they feel dead in the water.

My idea would be to make an app or plugin that would scour your facebook, e-mail, twitter, etc for all the people you know and smartly create a downloadable address book that could be uploaded to the phone of your choice.

Maybe there is already something like this?

I love art, I love the creativity of people. I love seeing where their imaginations take them. My favorite sort of art is then it’s useful. I love seeing simple daily acts enhanced by the beauty of imagination.

Take eating for instance, there is culinary art, and even design in the table dressings. But what about art in the mistakes of eating.

My idea is to make a wooden table that has small seedlings embedded in it’s surface. It could be grass, flowers, what have you. Over time, the condesation from your glasses or the spills across the table will water the seedlings and create living abstract art for your dinner guests. 

I would find it absolutely fascinating to eat at a table that has been growing for over a year. It would have patches of moss, grass, and small flowers poking up here and there. And imagine the smell of fresh cut grass when you ask Billy to set the table for dinner!
